This strategic partnership aims to accelerate the penetration of drone solutions in Saudi Arabia’s vast inspection market, which has largely remained untouched by such advanced technologies. By combining FAHSS’s extensive expertise and reputation in inspection, testing, and certification with Terra Drone Arabia’s unique and proven drone-based inspection solutions, the collaboration seeks to educate the market and establish drone-based inspection as a legitimate and beneficial industrial practice.
FAHSS, founded in 1986, is renowned for its technical competence and proficiency in certification, auditing, inspection, advisory, testing, and training services within the Gulf region. Terra Drone Arabia specializes in drone-based inspection technologies, operational workflows, and project data.
The collaboration will allow FAHSS to evaluate the capabilities of drone-based inspection solutions and explore their integration into its inspection and certification offerings. Terra Drone Arabia, in turn, is collaborating with an established inspection and certification company to jointly offer comprehensive solutions that integrate drone services with certification and testing deliverables. The partnership’s purpose is to explore potential collaboration in industrial inspection, leveraging Terra Drone’s drone services and FAHSS’s expertise, including:
- Aerial Visual and Thermal Imaging for elevated structures (e.g., flare stacks, transmission towers)
- Confined Space Inspections using drones for internal assessments of storage tanks, boilers, and vessels
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) via drones for UT thickness measurements, EMAT, and DFT coating checks
Together, these capabilities will not only modernize inspection practices but also help set new industry standards in line with Vision 2030’s innovation and digital transformation goals.
